Classes such as Preaching teach students how to develop a sermon from its idea and structure to its delivery. Our sequence of leadership courses helps students learn how to relate to people, organize a church, manage staff, and oversee a budget. The program also includes an internship, during which a student could work at a church alongside a senior pastor, music minister, or youth minister, for example, to get hands-on training.

Faculty with a calling

The program's faculty, who have both academic credentials and practical experience, view their roles as more than just teachers. We want to see students go into the world and ministry, share the gospel, see lives transformed and changed. It's a heartfelt goal, bigger than just the completion of degrees: to see God working through our graduates.

Preparation for ministry

Our MDiv graduates will be prepared for ministry positions, including senior or associate pastor, youth minister, children's minister, worship leader, hospital chaplain, military chaplain, and foreign or domestic missions worker, including roles in college ministry, denominational leadership and parachurch organization leadership. The Master of Divinity is the standard degree for vocational ministry.
